Rossmere Will Re-Open May 4

The golf course at Rossmere Country Club will open on Monday, May 4th with temporary COVID-19 procedures (see below) which are designed to protect our members, guests and employees. We will begin taking tee times by phone or online at 12pm Saturday, May 2nd. Rossmere will begin to open amenities slowly over the next few weeks based on the health and safety guidelines established by the Government.

Please be assured that Rossmere Country Club is taking every precaution necessary for the safety of our members, guests, and employees. Any member or guest caught breaking health and safety rules will immediately be removed from the property. There is no grey area on these social distancing measures.

Tee Time Booking Procedures

  • Tee times will be separated by 10 minute intervals with a maximum of 200 people on the tee sheet daily. Once the 200 level is reached the tee sheet will be closed.
  • Booking can be done online through www.rossmere.ca
  • Tee times can also be booked by calling 204-988-1540
  • Maximum 4 players per group
  • Walk-on tee times will not be available until further notice; you must have a pre-booked tee time in order to play golf at Rossmere. No single golfers.
  • All golfers names must be on the tee sheet or you will be denied access to the facility. Changes to your group’s names can be made by calling the Pro Shop prior to your arrival at the golf course.
  • We will begin taking tee times by phone or online at 12pm Saturday, May 2nd.
  • The first two weeks May 4th to May 18th will only be available to book at this time. As restrictions ease we will open the tee sheet further. Members will receive an email each time we open more weeks on the schedule.
  • No multiple group bookings at this time.
  • You will only be permitted to tee off at your pre-booked tee time.
  • We will not be joining up groups from the Pro Shop.
  • All groups must be arranged prior to arrival at Rossmere.
  • Score cards and pencils are available from the Outside Service Personnel.
  • We require physical distancing (a minimum of 2 meters) among the members of your group at all times.

Weekend Tee Times

  • Oak: The tee sheet will be blocked from 7:30am to 11:30am to accommodate the Oak Membership. Oak groups must call the Pro Shop to book their tee time. This must be done on or before Thursday for each weekend.
  • No walk up traffic or large group bookings allowed. All names in your group must be on the tee sheet.
  • Aspen: After 11:30am Saturday, Sunday & Holidays until Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
  • Monday & Wednesday Ladies – Can book tee times on weekly basis until the Covid-19 restrictions are softened. Monday/ Wednesday Ladies can book for May 4th & May 6th on Saturday, May 4th at 2pm. Please note due to the limited availability and restrictions to tee times the ladies block is from 5pm to 7pm. Tee times are on a first come first serve basis.

Arriving at the Golf Course

  • Members and guests will only be allowed to arrive 30 minutes prior to your pre-booked tee time. No more than 20 minutes if they are not using the range facility.
  • Golfers must wait and be greeted by a Rossmere Staff Member at the sports entrance gate. Each golfer will be asked a series of Covid-19 questions. The rules and regulations will be explained each time you access the facility.
  • Golfers not on the tee sheet will be denied access to the facility.

Tee Off Clock

  • 30 minutes to 20 minutes – 10 minute warm up session on range
  • 20 minutes to 10 minutes – “In the Hole” designated area
  • 10 minutes to 1st tee access – “On Deck” designated area
  • Check-In at the Golf Shop
  • Guests of members must check into the Golf Shop.
  • The Pro Shop will be restricted to a maximum of 2 persons at any one time.
  • Staff will be available outside of the Pro Shop to help with any questions or need for guidance.
  • Payments can be made using Member Accounts, debit, and credit cards only.
  • Signatures will not be required for charges to Member Accounts.
  • The credit/debit card terminal will be sanitized between customers.
  • Cash will not be accepted at this time.
  • The Rossmere Online Pro Shop www.rossmere.ca will soon be available for purchasing Pro Shop merchandise.

Driving Range

  • You will only have access to the driving range area 30 minutes prior to your pre-booked tee time. Due to physical distancing measures, there will only be 4 hitting stations available for use; a 10 minute warm up session is available.
  • Irons only during phase 1. Please don’t touch the range balls with your hands.
  • Restrictions will slowly ease during the 2nd week of the season.
  • Please use only the range balls that are stacked at the station.
  • Hitting stations will be refilled with clean balls by a staff member, as needed.
  • After the balls have been collected from the range, they will be washed twice with soap and water.

Power Carts

The use of power carts will be permitted with the following restrictions:

  • Members and guests may share a power cart only if they live in the same household.
  • All other members and guests will be required to take individual power carts:
  • Power carts will be washed, cleaned, and sanitized after every use.
  • Power carts are available on a first come first serve basis.

Back Shop/Club Storage

  • The Back Shop will be closed at the start of the season.
  • The Back Shop will be used as a sanitation area for pull carts and other equipment.
  • Any clubs currently in Back Shop must be picked up as soon as possible.
  • All members will be required to take their clubs with them each time that they leave the property.
  • Club storage closure should last two weeks at which time self-serve storage will be available.

Tee Off

  • You will only be permitted to tee off at your pre-booked tee time.
  • We will not be joining up groups from the Pro Shop.

Bathroom Facilities

  • The Clubhouse bathroom facilities are closed until further notice.
  • A comfort station & hand washing station is available on the 1st tee.
  • Golf Course Comfort Stations will remain open with increased sanitization procedures.

On the Golf Course

  • While on the golf course, you must practice physical distancing at all times, including among the members of your group.
  • To minimize the chances of spreading Covid-19, we have removed benches, ball washers and bunker rakes.
  • Flagsticks must stay in the cups and not be touched.
  • All holes will include inserts to make the cups shallower for easy retrieval of golf balls without touching the cup. We encourage “gimmes” within your group.
  • If you get a poor lie in a bunker, we encourage you to pick up your ball, use your feet to smooth the sand and then replace the ball in its original location.

After Completing Your Round

Once you have completed your round:

  • Please go directly to your vehicle via the front loop or west side of the building. Access will be restricted and no golfers can return to the east side of the clubhouse once their round is complete.
  • Leave your pull cart in the designated return area in the parking lot
  • Our staff will collect and sanitize it for the next player.
  • Drive-up take-out food service will be available, and we encourage all members to take advantage of our take-home food options. The menu is available online at www.rossmere.ca and available by calling 204.988.1540 during week #1.


To begin the season, the clubhouse will be closed except for the offices and Pro shop

  • The closed areas include the banquet rooms, restaurant, pub and locker rooms.
  • If you require items from your locker, please contact Scott Parker at sparker@rossmere.ca to let you into the locker room.
  • The offices will only be open for member services, payments, and event and catering bookings.
  • However, in the interest of safety, we encourage you to conduct this business by phone or email whenever possible.
  • A maximum of 1 person will be allowed into the clubhouse lobby at any given time.
  • The front door will remain locked and members may use the doorbell to gain access.
  • When in the clubhouse, physical distancing (a minimum of 2 meters) will be required at all times.

Food and Beverage

  • The Beverage Cart will operate from 9am to 10pm during the week and 8am to 8pm on weekends.
  • The Beverage Cart Express Food Menu will be available 7 days a week from 11am to 7pm., weather permitting.
  • Rossmere will offer take-out & curbside food pick up directly from the website at www.rossmere.ca
  • There will also be a direct phone number for on-course deliveries and take-home options: 204.988.1540.
  • For take-home items, members are asked to go to the parking lot and gain access to the facility from the Outside Service Personnel. The Squirrel & Birdie Pub will be used for food pick up.

We would like to thank you for your patience during these extraordinary times. Your attention to these guidelines will help ensure the safety of all members, guests and staff. Be assured that Rossmere staff members are working diligently to provide a well-conditioned golf course and the highest level of member experience possible under the restrictions required by COVID-19 pandemic precautions. Amenities will begin to open at Rossmere on a weekly basis.
